I am a PhD student on the MERMAID project. I have previously graduated a marine ecology master at Aix Marseille Université. My role in Mermaid is to make a connection between archaeozoology and trophic ecology fields. Indeed, my thesis aims to better understand trophic relationship among marine resources and how they evolved due to humans fisheries since the early ages. My work is centered on isotopic analyses of ancient fish bones collagen to reconstruct trophic levels and assess the trophic niche variations over time. I am also interested in the impact of fisheries on the size of caught fishes.
Main studied fields
Trophic ecology, archaeozoology, historical ecology, Isotopic analyses
