I\u2019m focused on the Mediterranean region and the time span of the archaeological sites analysed by me goes from Neolithic to Modern Age. I worked as official Zooarchaeologist on the field within some archaeological missions: Sant\u2019Atioco Cronicario, Monte Sirai, Villamar (Sardinia, Italy), Tell Afis (Syria).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During my academic studies I worked principally on mammals and molluscs remains. The main topic of my recent studies was the evolution of the exploitation of marine environments in Sardinia from the Phoenician colonisation in the Iron Age to the Roman times. I focused my PhD research on fish remains. I have a good experience in the identification of Mediterranean marine species (fishes and molluscs remains).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My recent published papers focuses on the identification af fish remains, discuss the origin of fish sauces based on fish remains and point on statistical analysis on marine faunal remains: fish, molluscs and birds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting from 2016 I have worked as scientific advice and cooperation member in the promotion and enhancement of the Tuna Fish Trap Museum (Stintino \u2013 Sardinia), as curator of the museum collection and cooperator in the setting up of the \u201cSea Environment\u201d exposition room. One of my tasks include the analysis of the biological samples stored in the museum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2017 I was a component of the scientific committee and the organizer coordinator of the ICAZ 19th Fish Remains Working Group Meeting \u2013 Sardinia 2017. Fish and Fishing Communities. Understanding ancient and modern fisheries through archaeological fish remains.
